SENSORY GARDEN CAHIR
The Sensory Garden is just a short 12-minute drive from Clonmel and a short walk from the center of the town and is truly a hidden gem. Located on Church Street beside St. Paul's Church, the garden is a wonderful quiet space to unwind, enjoy a picnic, or relax in the sunshine. This sensory garden is a garden environment that is designed with the purpose of stimulating the senses. The Sensory Garden is open daily 9am-7pm during the summer months but closes at 4pm in the winter months. This stimulation occurs courtesy of plants and the use of materials that engage one’s senses of sight, smell, touch, taste, and sound. These types of gardens are popular with and beneficial to both children and adults, especially those who have sensory processing issues, including autism and other disabilities. So, if you are visiting Cahir on your ‘Trip to Tipp’ this Summer then why not pack this visit into your schedule as-well. This is free of charge to use.
