TUS Regional Sports Hub

The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Regional Sports Hub is only a little over 6 minutes (4km) drive from the Talbot Hotel Clonmel.

This multipurpose sports facility is built on a 1.88-hectare site located on the Waterford road out of Clonmel town and is in very close proximity to the Talbot Hotel Clonmel.

This fantastic facility incorporates:

· World Athletics-approved 8 lane - 400m metres athletics track with steeplechase water jump

· 4 x long jumps pits

· 2 x shot putt circles

· Javelin run up; pole vault run up

· High Jump area

· Hammer/discus cage

Pre-booking of these facilities is essential.

This facility also includes:

· Kids playground

· 2 x Zip wires

· Skatepark

· Cycle (pump)track

· 1km walking trail

Please note that these facilities are free to use for locals and hotel residents.

The TUS Sports Hub are very fortunate to have 3 wonderful anchor tenants namely - Clonmel Athletic Club, Clonmel Cycling Club & Clonmel Triathlon Club.

Their overall facilities include a track tower for storage, PA system and a pavilion with toilets, showering, storage, and a team meeting space.

On large event days, catering is provided in the main college canteen.

The sports hub is also used by schools and the wider community.
