Today, we want to introduce you to Katie Cooney
Katie has been with us nearly 3 years working in the hotel in our Food & Beverage Department😊
You could find Katie in any corner of the hotels ‘Wheat Bar & Bistro’ or mainly in ‘Howards Restaurant’ helping guests.
When we interviewed Katie for this little slot, we were delighted to learn so much more about our wonderful colleague.
𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢?
I am from Rathgormack in County Waterford & for those who don’t know it’s a beautiful village located at the bottom of the Comeragh Mountains.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥?
I have been working in the Talbot Hotel Clonmel for the last 3 years since 2021 & the time has flown.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐥?
My favourite thing about working here are the staff & our lovely guests
I work a lot of early shifts so its always nice to be chatting to guests first thing in the morning.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥?
I really love sport & I can usually be found on the side of a pitch at a hurling or football match. I love spending time with friends & going out.
𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟?
I have recently graduated with a degree in Business Studies & Accounting. Within the next few years, I hope to be working as an accountant & pursuing my charted accountant qualifications.
What Katie never told you about herself is that she is always smiling, and has a funny sense of humour.
