Today, we want to introduce you to Jake Byrne
Jake has been with us nearly 1 year.
When we interviewed Jake for this little slot, we were delighted to learn so much more about our wonderful colleague.
𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢?
I am born & raised here in Clonmel.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥?
I started working here in the Talbot last year after my buddy Tiernan told me about a job going in banqueting in the hotel.
Since starting to work here I have spent most of my time in Banqueting and working on the bar floor.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐥?
I love hospitality and have great fun with my colleagues & customers. I have really got the love of hospitality from working in the hotel, so much so that I am going to follow a career in hospitality in Shannon Hospitality School from next September. And I really hope to be a Hotel Manager in the coming years!
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥?
I love soccer & rugby. I play for Clonmel Town. I’m a massive Liverpool supporter and I’m living for Sunday for the Premier League!
I got to Liverpool once and got into the Kop!
Midfielder Harvey Elliott is currently my favourite player!
𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟?
A couple of years ago I was in a show called ‘Rock of Ages’, I loved it, it was ‘the best buzz ever’!!
I also have 2 x dogs – Hugo & Willow
