Today, we want to shine a little spotlight on one of our stars here at the Talbot Hotel Clonmel.

Today, we want to introduce you to Erin O’Brien.
You will find Erin based in our main ‘Wheat Bar & Bistro’. But this is only for now, as she is due to change departments very soon!

When we interviewed Erin for this little slot, we were delighted to learn so much more about our wonderful colleague.
Erin went to school in Presentation Secondary School Ballingarry.
Erin is from Drangan Co. Tipperary and is one of the hotels Trainee Managers.
Erin is in her first year in Tralee in Munster Technological University studying the “Trainee Management Development Program”.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥?
I have been working here in the Talbot Hotel nearly 2 years now, and I love every minute of it!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐥?
I enjoy coming to work every day. I love what I do. I really hope that in 3 years’ time I qualify to be a manager here in the Talbot Hotel Clonmel with a view to a transfer to another Talbot Collection property where there is so much progression.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥?
Erin in her spare time enjoys playing football for her local club, is a big fan of music where she has had lessons for a number of years and plays a variety of instruments. Erin also enjoys spending her time off with her family and friends and her dog Tyson.

𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟?
Erin began working in a hairdresser in Drangan for a couple of years, but it wasn’t for her, and is now dedicated to working in the hospitality industry!
The Talbot Hotel Clonmel and working for the Talbot Collection is where she sees her future career.

What Erin didn’t tell us is that she likes a good night out and loves to get dressed up. She has a fantastic wardrobe of clothes.
Erin is a credit to the team and is a massive team player.
She always puts a smile on her colleagues faces, we look forward to her continuing her hospitality journey with us as we know it is going to be a good one! Erin is going to be a future hospitality leader, and all that we can say is ‘WATCH THIS SPACE’!!!
