Annual Charity Gig a Resounding Success!
It was wonderful to witness the passing over of the cheque this week to two very worthy local Clonmel charities. With nearly €7,000 raised as the direct result of a serious team collaboration locally in Clonmel.
A massive thanks, needs to be extended to everyone who supported the ever-popular charity gig at the Talbot Hotel in Clonmel on March 10th. Whether you purchased a ticket to the gig, bought a raffle ticket, or sponsored a spot prize, all 100% of monies went towards both charities.
This annual event raises well needed funds for C-SAW & and South Tipperary Autism Support Group.
It was great to see this sold out gig back after a short break due to covid which raised nearly €3,500 per charity.
C-SAW provide services that help reduce the number of suicides in South Tipperary and surrounding areas. In addition, they provide support and assistance to people who have been bereaved or in any way impacted by suicide.
Their aim is to raise awareness and education in the community plus provide support to those in need.
South Tipperary Autism Support Group support families whom have children after being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and who need parental support at a very difficult time.
They provide support in the form of monthly meetings for parents or carers, helping them to understand and broaden their knowledge of this condition.
This Charity Gig could not have been made possible without the tremendous partnership of all 3 supporting bands The Pearly Whites, Supersoul Machine & The Waheys, all whom gave their time for free on the night, plus also that of the Talbot Hotel Clonmel who offered their facilities and refreshments for free on the night all so. If it was not for these wonderful bands offering their talent for free this event could not happen year in, year out!
