National Award Winning Manager at Talbot Hotel Clonmel
Over 300 health and fitness professionals, attended the 2019 NUTRAMINO Health & Fitness Awards hosted by Alan Quinlan, in the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin on Friday 8th of March.
These Health & Fitness Awards recognise outstanding contributions and innovation from Ireland’s top health & fitness professionals, facilities and community engagement initiatives.
Our Leisure Centre Manager Anthony Hewitt made the trip to Dublin to take part in these Awards, where he was shortlisted in the category of 'Overall Leisure Club Manager of the year'.
This category was inundated with nominations from all of the best in gyms & leisure clubs all across Ireland, all hoping to be short listed as a nominee in this most sought after category!
With nominations been whittled down to only a handful of the country's best in Leisure Centre Managers, it was with great pride that Anthony Hewitt Leisure Centre Manager received the Overall Bronze Award in this category.

Talbot Hotel Clonmel's Leisure Club wins National White Flag Quality Award at All Ireland Event
The Leisure Club at Talbot Hotel Clonmel and other Leisure and Fitness professionals from all over Ireland gathered recently to celebrate the annual National White Flag Quality Standards Award event. These awards are recognised as the main awards in the calendar year for those working in the leisure industry.
The White Flag National Quality Standard, grades facilities’ operational standards, similar to the Blue Flag award which classifies Ireland’s beaches, and it is fast becoming the most sought after accolade in the leisure industry!
It is the only industry specific award for the Irish Leisure and Spa Industry. The White Flag National quality standard is based on the 3 essential areas when operating any leisure centre or spa: Safety, Hygiene & Maintenance and Customer Care.
Talbot Hotel Clonmel, are delighted with this newest award for the hotel and that every consumer who is a member of a gym or leisure centre should be aware the White Flag Award as it is essentially a full list of the professional standards required for any leisure club, and its overall quality mark in the leisure facilities that they attend”.
Having received this award it is also a fantastic opportunity for the Leisure Club at Talbot Hotel Clonmel to not only acknowledge their Leisure Club team for the excellent job they undertake daily in the Leisure Club but also to be recognised amongst their peers in the industry.”
